Born in Hamilton, Ontario, I studied at McMaster U., U. of Toronto and after moving out west, at the University of Calgary. There I obtained a Graduate Diploma in Art Education (Ceramic Specialization). I was selected for participation in the International Workshop of Ceramic Arts in Tokoname, Japan, and a six week ceramic Experimental Clay Project in Jamaica. Since moving to Bearberry from Bragg Creek, I set up a pottery and painting studio.
In pottery, I create both functional and sculptural works, raku and pit fired works.
In painting, I enjoy the challenge of watercolour, the colour excitement of acrylics and the creative challenge of collage.
